Workshop: Build Your Retirement Paycheck

Introducing the Build Your Retirement Paycheck Workshop

If you’re like most DIY dividend investors I talk to, you’re asking yourself some version of:
“Will my portfolio pay me reliably in retirement, or am I just hoping it will?”

Yields are at their lowest point in years. Telcos slashed their dividends. Most banks pay under 3%. And the market trades near an all-time high, which makes every buy, sell, and withdrawal decision feel like a gamble.

To answer that question with a plan instead of hope, I hosted a live, members-only workshop where we sat down together and:
  1. Diagnose your income gap
    • See what your portfolio generates today (all accounts combined), the gap between that and your retirement budget, and where your dividend income is concentrated.
    • Spot the holdings that put your income at risk (weak dividend triangle, low Dividend Safety Score).
  2. Design your paycheck
    • Set your withdrawal order across your accounts (taxable, RRSP/RRIF, TFSA) to defer taxes as long as possible.
    • Build a cash reserve (which product? GIC, bonds, or high-interest-rate savings account? How much money? For how long?)
    • Decide which stocks to sell first, and which ones to keep, with a clear order: misfits, overweight positions, then sector balance.
  3. Deploy next year’s paycheck
    • Leave with a one-page plan: your income sources, your selling order, and when you’ll review it.
    • Plan a year ahead, before the market decides for you.
  4. Bonus: Get a Plan for your spouse (because you are the one managing finances and you care about your better half).

Watch the video now to get this guidance, and pause anytime to work through it at your own pace.
